Trewithen Regen Milk

All natural, 100% pure Cornish milk, from family farms leading the way in regenerative CO2 reducing farming practices. Cherishing our soil, boosting biodiversity so cows can graze freely on a rich variety of plants. Its farming in harmony with nature.

Deliciously Creamy

Our Cornish milk comes from our own directly contracted farmers, all based within a 25-mile radius of our dairy. We are caretakers of the land; we and our farmers recognise the need to look after the environment for future generations.

Being stuck out into the Atlantic Ocean has shaped so much of Cornwall’s geography and history. Storm systems sweep in on the jet stream, sucking up salts and nutrients from the sea and the mild coastal air forces the moisture to fall as rain. Deep river valleys and undulating uplands create a unique grass-growing landscape for dairy farming, which in turn creates the delicious flavour of our milk.

MORE ABOUT REGEN MILK

Born out of Trewithen Dairy’s deep-rooted philosophy of caring for the land and animals, Regen Milk represents a forward-thinking approach to dairy production. Since 2020, Trewithen has been working closely with local farms to implement regenerative farming techniques. This process enhances soil health, boosts biodiversity, and sequesters carbon, all while producing the high-quality milk Trewithen is known for.

The launch of Regen Milk is the culmination of a long journey, one that began with just two farms embracing regenerative methods. Today, six farms have joined this movement, allowing Trewithen Dairy to produce enough volume to meet growing consumer demand for sustainable products. Regen Milk is not only a testament to the innovation of Trewithen Dairy but also to the passion and dedication of its farmers.

“Regen Milk is just the beginning of a larger shift towards more sustainable dairy farming in the UK. We’re excited to bring this product to consumers and invite them to join us on this journey of positive change.”

Francis Clarke, Chief Procurement Officer at Trewithen Dairy

The launch of Regen Milk reinforces Trewithen’s position as a leader in quality and drivers of long-term sustainability in agriculture, delivering delicious dairy that benefits both consumers and the planet.

FAQs

What is regeneration in dairy?

Regeneration in dairy refers to adopting farming practices that not only produce high-quality milk but also restore and enhance the land, water, and ecosystems involved in dairy production. This includes methods like rotational grazing, where cows are moved between pastures to allow grass to regrow, improving soil health and increasing carbon sequestration. It also involves reducing chemical inputs, enhancing biodiversity on farms, improving water retention, and ensuring better animal welfare. The aim is to create a sustainable dairy system that benefits the environment, enhances soil health, and contributes positively to local ecosystems while maintaining productive farming.

Does regenerative dairy produce better milk quality?

Regenerative dairy farming can contribute to improved milk quality, as it emphasises animal welfare, healthy grazing practices, and nutrient-rich pastures. Cows grazing on diverse and naturally enriched pastures often produce milk with a higher concentration of beneficial nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants.
